Tequila is an alcoholic beverage native to Mexico, widely recognized worldwide thanks to brands such as José Cuervo, Patrón, or 1800.

It is made from the Weber Azul agave, planted mainly in the region of Tequila, Jalisco (hence its name) and is classified into 5 varieties: Blanco (considered the purest), Joven (mixture of white tequila with reposado or añejo), Reposado (with maturation of between 2 to 11 months in large wooden containers or barrels of American white oak), Añejo (between 12 and 35 months of maturation in American white oak barrels) and Extra Añejo (at least 36 months of maturation in barrels).
